Who We Are SeniorMarketing.com and How We Came to Be
|
Hi, my name is Kevin Williams; I’m the president of SeniorMarketing.com. If you’re in a hurry, go ahead and enter in your name and email address off to the right. We are going to send you a bunch of valuable free marketing tips. Some of these will increase occupancy without paying a penny. But if you’ve got a minute to learn more about me, let me tell you a quick story about how I got into senior living and senior care marketing.
I was hired by a marketleading advertising agency that specialized in senior living and senior care a few years back. It’s a creative advertising agency that does professional work. I was part of helping grow their internet marketing programs and wrote advertising copy.
It is completely possible on to track results on the internet. We were meticulous about tracking the performance of our campaigns online and created software and tools for our clients to see these results.
Doing this was a key component to growing the campaigns and what I believe allowed the department to grow over the years.
I will admit I was not immediately thrilled about working in the senior living industry. I was young and could not relate to the industry (That changed a little later, which I’ll explain in a minute). I was fascinated with marketing, especially results-oriented marketing.
I was part of a team that increases occupancy and profits We created marketing programs for dozens of communities across the country. And we worked with most every type of senior living and senior care option, including:

I got an under-the-hood look into the industry. I’ve read hundreds if not thousands of inquires. I began to learn the emotional needs and struggles of seniors and caregivers. Many were desperately reaching out, not knowing where to turn. And then there are the younger and wealthier seniors interested in moving into a life of luxury at a new continuing care retirement center. (Some of these CCRCs are so nice I’d like to move in now!)
It was fascinating learning the needs of the industry and very valuable experience I later found out.
I really became involved after my grandmother had kidney failure and needed to go on dialysis. My mother eventually became her primary caregiver.
I saw my mother sacrifice so much — including her entire social life — to care for my grandmother. It is something only a loving family member could do. My mother did not know what to do at times; I saw her break down in frustration. She didn’t know who to turn to, what action to take, how to protect my grandmother’s assets, what level of care she would get if she needed to go somewhere, even meeting with an eldercare attorney.
I experienced on a personal and emotional level the struggles caregivers and seniors have and how much more frustration there is when desperately searching for a solution versus having a plan for care.
I feel for these senior living communities and senior care services that are stuck. They are losing occupancy, losing income on a great investment, and not connecting with seniors and caregivers that desperately need them.
At SeniorMarketing.com we have developed a system to help senior living communities and senior care services connect with seniors and caregivers who truly need their services and increase the company’s bottom-line profits with a lot more ease.
I want to share that with the entire industry and we’re passionate about what we do. Hopefully, if you get to know us a little better it will become apparent that this is something we take very seriously and it’s something we’re very good at.
Maybe you've read some of my articles. I’ve written articles for many top publications including Mcknights long term care New & Assisted Living, Long Term Living Magazine, Advance Executive Insight, National Real Estate Investor, Senior Housing News, New LifeStyles, and RetirementHomes.com.
I was also selected as a judge for the RetirementHomes.com MOMBA (Mature Online Marketing Business Achievement) awards, and have presented cutting edge marketing strategies at annual association conferences.
I think it will be very helpful to sign up for our newsletter. We are going to send you valuable marketing lessons for free and invite you to webinars to teach you about new marketing strategies and products we are developing.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and how I’ve gotten into senior living and senior care marketing.

Kevin M. Williams
